Troy (my oldest son) is at his dad's until this afternoon. He visits his dad (my ex-husband) every other weekend. We still have to buy his shoes for school and go to Toys'r'us to use his birthday gift cards. I was going to send him to the new charter school opening up, but we decided at the last minute to send him to public school. Luckily, I didn't take the tags off of his uniforms and I was able to return them all Friday. I felt like we ran a marathon after that; trying to go school clothes shopping before he left for his dad's. There's a lot to do today...and I haven't been to sleep yet. I've been staying at my friend's house for the last couple of weeks and I just came home last night. Still trying to catch up and get settled.
We started a tradition when Troy went into Kindergarten. On the first day of school, we go out to breakfast (either Waffle House or Country Kitchen) and then I take him to school and walk him to class. I know he won't want me to take him to his class for much longer, so I enjoy it while it lasts!
Today's agenda: Troy's shoes and toys, take RLK (my friend's daughter) shopping for some outfits, and take the baby (Tadd) to see Mimi while we shop.
The daily ups-and-downs of a single mom, full-time student at Florida State University, procrastinator, daughter, sister, ex-wife, goofball, and friend. Add to it ADHD and being significantly overweight and you've got the recipe for a challenging/interesting daily life. Follow along as I attempt to lose weight, be a good mom, finish school, handle family/friend relationships, date, and catch the curve-balls that life throws my way.
