I've Become an Aquatarian

Circle K has this amazing deal on drinks. It's called a Thirst Buster or a Polar Pop. 75 cents after tax gets you 44oz of soda!! I've unfortunately become addicted to them since having Tadd in June. I had lost weight while pregnant. Over the last 2 months, I've started finding it again; courtesy of the Coke Polar Pops. Therefore, with the help and motivation of my friends MGH and DLH, I've decided on the following:

I've Become an Aquatarian. It's a word that I've made up from the Latin words aqua, meaning "water" and arius, meaning "an advocate of or believer in". Starting tomorrow, I will no longer consume soda (diet or regular) or tea. My liquid intake will consist of water and occasionally milk with my cereal.

By cutting back on my liquid calories, I'll be able to eat more satisfying foods without having to gain the weight back. I feel like my face is starting to look bloated again. I've been more active than I was during pregnancy, but I feel soooo hungry all the time now. My ADHD medicine is a good appetite suppressant, but it only does so much.

WISH ME LUCK!!!

Last Day of Summer

Troy (my oldest son) is at his dad's until this afternoon. He visits his dad (my ex-husband) every other weekend. We still have to buy his shoes for school and go to Toys'r'us to use his birthday gift cards. I was going to send him to the new charter school opening up, but we decided at the last minute to send him to public school. Luckily, I didn't take the tags off of his uniforms and I was able to return them all Friday. I felt like we ran a marathon after that; trying to go school clothes shopping before he left for his dad's. There's a lot to do today...and I haven't been to sleep yet. I've been staying at my friend's house for the last couple of weeks and I just came home last night. Still trying to catch up and get settled.

We started a tradition when Troy went into Kindergarten. On the first day of school, we go out to breakfast (either Waffle House or Country Kitchen) and then I take him to school and walk him to class. I know he won't want me to take him to his class for much longer, so I enjoy it while it lasts!

Today's agenda: Troy's shoes and toys, take RLK (my friend's daughter) shopping for some outfits, and take the baby (Tadd) to see Mimi while we shop.
